In 1972, after the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan, in order to strengthen the communication between China and Japan, the two governments agreed to sign an agreement on the construction of a Sino-Japanese submarine cable in Beijing in May 1973. The Sino-Japanese submarine cable runs 872 kilometers from Nanhui County, Shanghai City, China to Lingbei Town, Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan, with 480 telephone lines.

In 1976, the cable ship was designed by 708 Research Institute and built by China Shipyard. The first 991 cable ship "Post and Telecommunications 1" was started in February 1975. The most critical equipment in the construction is the cable machine, which must be able to release the cable synchronously with the ship's speed. The ship uses a hydraulic servo automatic cable machine designed by Wei Huren and trial-produced by Wuzhou Machinery Factory. The cable laying system consists of: double drum cable laying machine, tire type cable digging machine, bow hanger, steel wire speed measuring device, buried plow, 25 ton winch, stern hanger, signal cable winch, etc. The ship was built in February 1976. Its main dimensions and performance: total length 71.0 meters, width 10.5 meters, depth 5.2 meters, draft 4.6 meters, full load displacement 1327 tons, speed 14 knots, total power 1641 kW (2200 horsepower). The steel hull is adopted, the head is protruding, the stem is inclined forward, the stern is approximately square, the double-machine double-flow line is balanced to hang the rudder, the bow is equipped with a side pushing device, and the anchor mooring winch is used. The bow and stern can be cabled, but the bow and stern cabling are the main cabling. At ordinary times, it can lay cables between islands in the sea, salvage and repair cables under the sea (shallow sea).

From 1979 to 1981, six 991 cable ships were successively built for the navy, engaged in laying, salvaging and repairing submarine cables between islands on the sea of China. Cloth cable ship 991-II won the 1978 National Science and Technology Conference Award.

folding pile-pressing boat
In April 1973, after the National Planning Conference, in accordance with the instructions of Premier Zhou Enlai of the State Council that "the appearance of the port must be changed within three years", the Shanghai Shipbuilding Company issued a plan to the Donghai Shipyard in May of the same year to build a pile-pressing ship for port construction. The technical design and construction design of the pressure pile ship shall be undertaken by Shanghai Ship Design Institute.

The shipyard formed a pressure pile ship combat command and youth commandos, which officially started in July 1973. Ding Wei served as a construction engineer. In the manufacturing task of 6 150-ton pile-pressing ships, the key equipment is 13 deck winches (including 2 20-ton winches and 11 5-ton winches) on each ship. A total of 78 winches on 6 ships are all manufactured by Donghai Shipyard, of which steel castings are jointly solved by Jiangnan, Hudong, Shanghai and other shipyards. Donghai Shipyard made great efforts to reform the process and adopted the use of shaper instead of large shotters to process 78 gears. The whole factory "a game of chess", processing winch parts. The hull workshop workers also successfully innovated the "flexible frame-shaped tire frame", saving 24 tons of tire frame steel and 68 hours of working hours for each ship. In December 1973, two ships were completed. The first ship was named "Sanhang Pile 5. In 1974, 4 ships were completed and delivered, and 6 ships of the same type were built.

The main dimensions and performance of the pile-pressing ship: the total length is 46 meters, the type width is 14 meters, the type depth is 3 meters, and the design draft is 1.9 meters. The ship is a non-self-navigable pile-pressing and pile-driving dual-purpose ship, and can be used as a lifting ship. The working area is mainly Huangpu River, taking into account the construction of coastal ports in East China. Long piles that can be pressed and hammered with a pile weight of not more than 25 tons and a length of not more than 34 meters can also be used as lifting ships of 40 tons and 70 tons.

folding fire boat
In order to strengthen the water fire fighting work, the Shanghai Port Authority commissioned the Shanghai Ship Design Institute to design a 984 kW (1320 horsepower) fire boat. Donghai Shipyard is responsible for the construction design and construction. Li Ming is still a construction engineer. Construction started in March 1975.

The ship is equipped with 2 main fire pumps and 1 auxiliary fire pump. The curved arm hydraulic lifting platform erected on the deck is based on the British fire ladder technology, designed by Shanghai Ship Design Institute and trial-produced by Donghai Shipyard. The hypocycloidal oil motor in the device is successfully trial-produced with self-made equipment in the factory and fully meets the design requirements (there are 9 kinds of valves in the device, of which 16 valves are also successful in the trial-production and passed the appraisal in the factory). The lifting platform has good loading function.

The first ship was completed in January 1976. By 1979, 10 ships of the same type were built. For the 10th fire-fighting ship, the owner requested to modify the two sides of the deck to be double guard wood, which is used as a fire-fighting and towing dual-purpose ship for Nanjing Port Authority.

The main dimensions and performance of the fire boat: the captain is 37.5 meters, the model width is 8 meters, the design draft is 3 meters, the speed is 13 knots, and the capacity is 28. The ship is a steel, single deck, bulbous, single machine, variable pitch single propeller diesel port firefighting ship. The main task is to undertake the water fire fighting work of Shanghai Port (Tongsha to Wujing navigation area). Equipped with water, low-expansion air foam and "1211" fire extinguishing agent and other three kinds of fire fighting system. Equipped with corresponding boarding rescue fire fighting equipment. It is suitable for fire rescue of ships below 25000 tons and provides fire protection for port and coastal facilities.

folding pilot ship
The ship was designed by Shanghai Ship Design Institute and designed and built by Donghai Shipyard. Gu Renbang was appointed as the construction engineer. Started in June 1984. During construction, the lifting capacity of the plant's lifting equipment was limited, and the ship was equipped with central air conditioning, which prolonged the shipbuilding cycle. During the trial voyage, it was found that the hull vibration was too large. After the design institute revised the design and strengthened the structure, the vibration problem was solved. The hull is smooth and the appearance is beautiful. The whole ship pipe system and coating have improved the quality from the process of lofting, manufacturing and installation, which has been praised by surveyors and shipowners. In June 1985, the ship was completed. Ship name: "Shanghai Jian Yin 3. Its main dimensions and functions: 86.63 meters in total length, 13.8 meters in width, 4.4 meters in design draft, 13.95 knots in speed, 50 crew members and 2123.94 tons in gross tonnage. Shanghai Port Supervisory Use. It is mainly used in the anchorage of the Yangtze River Estuary, serving the pilotage personnel for ships entering and leaving Shanghai Port day and night. It is known as the pilot's working and living base.

On October 6, 1985, at the invitation of the Japan Coast Guard, the ship visited Japan. At that time, it was renamed "Shanghai Supervision 54". On behalf of the Maritime Supervision Bureau of the Ministry of Communications, it visited the ports of Tokyo, Kobe, and Hiroshima for 20 days.

folding floating dock
800-ton floating dock In October 1950, in order to solve the problem of repairing the dock repair site below the waterline of the Yangtze River ships, Shanghai Shipbuilding Factory used 360 floating boxes of surplus materials from the United States. Yu Leshan presided over the design of the 800-ton floating dock, which was started in December and completed in May 1951.

The main dimensions of the floating dock are: a total length of 65.58 meters, a width of 17.08 meters, a maximum draught of 6.10 meters above the deck, a maximum sink and float of 6.80 meters, a displacement of about 1870 cubic meters at the maximum sink depth, and a lifting force of 800 tons.
