General Description
The vessel is specially designed for marine scientific research, survey and exploration and is a multi-purpose scientific research vessel.
The vessel is of the long forecastle, aft-engine type, with twin main engines, twin rudders, a bow thruster, and a raked stem with a bulbous bow.
The vessel is designed for operation in domestic unrestricted sea areas. During the winter months (December, January and February), the vessel shall not operate in sea areas north of Qingdao (36°04′N).
